We have used Kirk on a couple different projects over the past year or so and have had a great experience! All people involved from office staff to on-site contractors have been easy to work with and readily accessible for questions. We reached out to more than 12 different contracting companies for our initial project and Kirk came back with both the skills to accomplish the work and a fair quote so we used them and have stuck with them ever since anytime we need something.

We were in the market to hire a contractor for a large addition to our home. I called Kirk and spoke with Nate. He asked for the files to be sent for review, which I did. A few days later I was contacted and told Kirk couldn't bid because our documents would violate the city zoning standard and would be rejected when they were submitted for a permit. Unknown to Nate, I already had the permit. Nate gave me the reason why and I double checked and we were withing the city guidelines. The Kirk folks didn't even know what the city retirements were nor did they double check. We, ultimately, did receive a quote which was tens of thousands of dollars above the next highest. We didn't select Kirk. I'd hate to think of what would have happened if this level (or lack there of) attention to detail would have yielded if Kirk had been selected to perform our remodel. On a side note I can't believe Rosie on the House still lists Kirk as a preferred partner. Makes me wonder.

We used Kirk for a kitchen remodel about a year ago. They are high cost for low quality work. They took three times as long to complete the kitchen (almost a year and with no materials delays mind you) causing us to bring home our newborn child to a house with no functioning kitchen. They didn’t complete the work to plan, misplacing the island and throwing off the entire layout. When we made complaints, they spoke a good game about taking responsibility but didn’t take any corrective actions. A year later from the reno and the cabinet draws they installed are falling apart, the plumbing they did beneath the sink fell apart causing water damage to the island. We highly recommend avoiding Kirk construction at all costs.

I had a door that was installed by Kirk development years ago, and I needed some advice on it, because I was having trouble with the locks. I called and spoke to Bob, and he said he would look into it and call me back. But he never did. So I called back and left another message for Bob to call me back to find out why he hasn’t called me. Bob never did call me back. I hired another company to fix my problem with the door.

The workmanship was poor, the cost was high, refused to take instruction, left work half done, put holes in ceiling then slapped on a plastic plate & covered with speckling, put in a sub sized bathtub that the bearded guy adamantly refused to seal, destroyed sketched design of tile, left roof unsealed and jacked up the price 26% during the construction. I wouldn’t recommend paying more than half of their bid, if you choose to hire them.
