TL;DR. Pool construction process was awful, warranty repair was worse. Built a new pool with Shasta in 2022, and none of the steps in that process or the warranty repairs needed have been good. Pool took a year to build. Pool construction had poor to no communication. The day of the dig I was told to write a check for 10k on top of the price of the pool or they wouldn’t dig. They “managed to do it for 7500”. Then people would randomly show up to do work, no call or scheduling. I had to pay on a very specific schedule but had no reasonable timelines for completeness. Flash forward a couple years. Motor completely dies, which I get happens. Warranty department took said it would be a couple weeks to fix, which again, it’s summer, I get it. They show up and don’t have any of the parts besides the computer for my pump. They mention a pipe was leaking on it and messed something up. They advise they’d have to come back out. Scheduled again, and another week goes by and they fix the pump, awesome! I head out to take a look and notice the same pipe was leaking and a new pipe was also leaking. Also, the motor had a fresh whine to it. I call the warranty department within 15-30 minutes of them leaving about the leaks and they tell me “they only fix what’s in the order. You didn’t say there was a leak and they didn’t put notes there was a leak. It’ll be another charge and we can see you in two weeks.” Needless to say, I’ll pay 4x what they would charge me to “fix” my pool since I’m not sure it’s even fixed. Don’t be like me, don’t use Shasta.

Shasta did a great deal of work for the price, and overall has a team that's very pleasant and easy to deal with. They communicate well and offer great accountability if hiccups do occur. They're a trustworthy company, unlike some of the fly-by-night alternatives. I liked our foremen a lot, the office staff, and our sales representative, Herschel Holder, is a great guy. I felt they all cared about the quality of the work and customer experience.
